Students from all over the US came to experience our one of a kind Marine Science camp
In today’s world, the teenager does not get many outdoor hands-on applications in the environment. The tweens-teens can have more than 20,000 text messages on a parent’s phone bill, but not even five minutes of a telephone conversation. Social gatherings help bond a child, empowers youth to become teams and do something good. When the subjects are not introduced in schools, or encouraged within the curriculum, students do not understand what talents, skills, inventions, innovative ideas they possess within themselves. Students do not realize the importance of scientists, engineers, technology have on their future generation and especially to the environment. This lack of interest remains because most school systems do not or cannot support these programs.
Socialize with Education works to bring youth together in social gatherings, without peer pressure, to learn teamwork, social skills, interaction, scientific thinking to empower themselves to become future environmental scientists and engineers.
Educational Programs:
Captains, Kids and Clean Waterways
This project will include several programs to apply a hands-on approach to learning how to conserve and protect our coastal waterways.
Student Monitoring Area Restoration Techniques (SMART). The SMART program allows junior and senior level college undergraduates and graduates from area colleges to obtain job experience to advance in their outdoor marine careers. Internships are provided to interested students to monitor area underwater restoration projects and evaluate restoration techniques and ecosystems over time.
TEAM RESTORE. What a great team to be on! Socialize With Education has experienced staff who manage and implement restoration projects all over the Panhandle.
Team RESTORE is a community-based restoration program that builds and restores dunes, oyster reefs, living shorelines and other grant funded projects. TEAM RESTORE partners with local government to create innovative restoration projects.
TEAM RESTORE offers volunteer opportunities to Bright Futures, community service, Make A Difference program to high school students and adults through field trips and public volunteer events. TEAM RESTOREis an educational hands-on experience to protect the shoreline by planting upland and wetland vegetation to create small coastal living shoreline restoration projects or repair restoration projects damaged by storms.

Marine Science Camp. Our marine science camps provide a hands-on outdoor learning opportunity to learn marine science field and boat safety, water testing, fish identification, seagrass surveying, turtle education, search and recovery, and underwater field measurements. This is a unique camp and does not offer a touch tank experience but a hands-on salty, sandy and muddy experience into a life career in the marine sciences. The ages range from middle school 7-13 and high school ages 12 -17. The high school age program introduces to students not only marine biology skills, but offers a variety of marine occupation skills such as a water quality specialist, Wildlife educator, wetland botanist, natural resource managers, hydrologist, drone operator and marine technician. We provide the opportunity for the student to explore various careers options in the marine field to protects the waterways.
Clean Energy Renewable energy program. The students are introduced to basic energy concepts of solar, wind, earth and saltwater. Hands-on projects include making of solar energy panels, creating small electricity from soil, saltwater and wind. The goal is to inspire future renewable energy engineers. This program encourages the child to navigate their career towards the renewable energy sciences and possibly change technology and air quality in everyday life for the future. Clean Energy camp teaches the children about the increase in carbon dioxide through increased development, pollution, which causes the decrease in the environment and its resources. The focus of Clean Energy camp is learning the basics of renewable energy and reducing the carbon footprint.
PROTECT AND PRESERVE
Everything we do flows to the sea and then stays in the environment as pollution.
